After making its debut as a World Championship in Diriyah, Formula E next headed to Rome as the fully-electric series returned to Italy for the first time since 2019.
Racing in the EUR district, the eternal city hosted the second double-header event of the current campaign and a pair of races meant twice the chance to score points for ROKiT Venturi Racing.
Adverse weather conditions surrounded the weekend, and while Race 1 proved to be a challenge, Race 2 was a canvas for Monaco’s only racing team to showcase its true potential.
In only his third Formula E qualifying session, Norman Nato etched his place in our history books and by setting the pace in the group qualifying stages, progressed to Super Pole.
By doing this, Norman scored his first point in the world’s premier all-electric racing series, while this marked our first point as a team from Formula E’s initial classification session.
As part of Super Pole, Norman became the fifth ROKiT Venturi Racing driver in history to appear in the top-six shootout.
In the race, the Frenchman led his first laps in Formula E after starting from P2 and took the chequered flag in P3, although an energy overuse ultimately resulted in disqualification.
After starting in P7, Edoardo Mortara made up three positions to take P4 in the final classification, bringing home 12 points and ROKiT Venturi Racing’s best finish in Rome to date.
This haul pushed Edo past the 150 point milestone in his Formula E career, with the Swiss-Italian continuing to extend his record as our most experienced and most successful driver of all time.
En route to 12 points – which pushed us up to P6 in the Teams’ Championship – we navigated 173 laps of the Circuito Cittadino dell’EUR, driving 585.605-kilometers using electric power.
This is greater than the distance between Rome and our base in Monaco while our season total of 1,151.97-kilometers is the direct distance from Rome to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo – the home of the Valencia E-Prix and the next race of Season 7.
