In Their Words

Jérôme D’Ambrosio, Team Principal, ROKiT Venturi Racing

“With only six races to go, we’re approaching the business end of Season 8 and we’ve worked hard to prepare for what will be another heat-intense race in New York. At this stage of the season, it is important to keep the same approach that got us to this point, tackling the championship on a race-by-race basis to try and maximise every single opportunity that come our way. Both Edo and Lucas are performing at their very best and the goal is the same as always – remain focused on the task at hand, qualify well, and score a good haul of points in both races.”

Edoardo Mortara, Driver, ROKiT Venturi Racing

“The New York City E-Prix is a highlight of the Formula E calendar but it’s not one that I’ve had the best luck at so I’m looking forward to seeing if I can rectify that this weekend. The track has a good mixture of low, medium, and high-speed corners and long straights that help overtaking. Last time out in Marrakech we had a strong result and I believe that the entire team is in a good position in terms of morale and performance. This weekend, our goal is to finish inside the top 10 first and foremost and as always, I’ll be doing my very best to achieve this.”

Lucas di Grassi, Driver, ROKiT Venturi Racing

“Throughout Season 8 we have shown that we have very strong pace in race conditions and after coming so close to finishing on the podium recently, I know that the top three is well within our grasp. New York City is the home of many special memories for me, including a win in Season 4 and a podium last year, and I will be giving my all to take home silverware this weekend. Because it can be difficult to overtake, qualifying will be extremely important and mastering our one-lap pace will be crucial to unlocking our performance this weekend.”
