In Their Words

James Rossiter, Team Principal, Maserati MSG Racing

“After seven months and 14 races, Season 9 is almost complete, and it’s been quite the journey. There’s no denying that the season didn’t start off as we hoped, but through a lot of hard work, we’ve been able to put ourselves in a position from where we can fight at the front on a consistent basis. Our turnaround in form – which went from scoring three points in the first six races to taking home 127 in the past eight – is rarely seen in one season, but it’s a testament to the dedication, passion, hard work and raw talent of the people I work alongside. Heading into the final weekend of the season, we’re only 23 points away from finishing inside the top five in the World Teams’ Championship, and we’ll be giving it our all. We need to follow our tried and tested processes, trust in one another, and maximise every opportunity in this final double header. Regardless of the outcome this weekend, I’m so proud of the entire team, and everything we have achieved together up until this point.”

Edoardo Mortara, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“After a good result in race two in Rome, I’m really looking forward to getting back out on track in London. As the only part-indoor track on the calendar, the ExCeL is a really unique circuit and it comes with it’s own challenges which I like and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to build upon a successful Rome E-Prix over this weekend.”

Maximilian Günther, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“London is a great location to host the finale of Season 9. It’s always a lot of fun to drive here, the track is very unique with the indoor and outdoor section. There are tarmac changes during the lap, very technical corners and I like the flow with the new layout in Sector Three. I’m proud about the turnaround of our season and with plenty of points up for grabs we are all very motivated to finish the season on a high.”

Giovanni Sgro, Head of Maserati Corse

“We are at the season finale of what has been an incredible year for us in terms of experience, achievements, and learnings. After our first Formula E podium at home in Rome and a strong double points finish in Race 14, we have come to London focused on confirming the competitive drive of the last few months. The team spirit is high and the commitment to this new electric adventure has been evident from race to race. There are only two E-Prixs left but some valuable points are up for grabs in the World Championship. The podium is everyone's objective, but regardless of the outcome, Maserati’s first year in Formula E has been one of the most exciting returns to the track."
