In Their Words

James Rossiter, Team Principal, Maserati MSG Racing

“With only two weekends of racing to go, we’re reaching the sharp end of Season 9. It’s been a long campaign, but with 141 points still up for grabs, everything is still to play for. After a competitive run in the past few races, we’re within striking distance of the top five in the World Teams’ Championship. We’re a team of proven fighters, Edo and Max are on good form. We are rested, motivated and ready to give it our all this July. We will remain grounded in our approach and capitalise upon every opportunity that comes our way to maximise every result.”

Edoardo Mortara, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“As a Swiss-Italian driver, the Rome E-Prix is my home race this season, and I’m really looking forward to returning to a city that I personally love for the culture and the atmosphere. I also enjoy racing in front of the Italian fans and, with this weekend also being the Maserati brand’s first race at home since 1957, it’s going to be a pretty special event. As usual, I’m focused and well prepared to give it my all this weekend. I hope that we achieve the results that we deserve.”

Maximilian Günther, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“The Rome E-Prix is one of the best events of the season, and I’m excited to race again in the EUR district. The track has all of the characteristics of a typical, old-school Formula E circuit. There are bumps, surface changes, low-, medium-, and high-speed corners, and big elevation changes, all of which come together to create a real driving challenge. The team is on great form at the moment, and I feel like momentum is in our favour. We just need to remain calm, take the weekend session-by-session, and see where we are at the end.”

Giovanni Sgro, Head of Maserati Corse

“As an Italian brand we are very excited Formula E is coming to Italy this weekend, especially considering this is Maserati’s first home race. The last few rounds have been packed with a variety of emotions, and we are pleased that the second half of the season has seen our drivers compete at the front of the grid and in the top 10. Racing on home soil has obviously a special taste and we are happy with the double header in front of our fans. Regardless of how the race ends, this round will always be a milestone for Maserati. We remain focused and hope to experience a first home race to remember”.
