While Alpha Tauri launched on the catwalk in the world of Formula 1, we had our own fashion show here at ROKiT Venturi Racing in the run-up to the Mexico City E-Prix.
For the fourth race of Season 6, we proudly showed off our new race suits, blending ROKiT red with white and black to create the perfect contrast.
Our drivers certainly love their new colours that we’ll use for the remainder of the Season 6 campaign.
On a damp and revised Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, we hit the track as soon as possible to maximise our learning when FP1 arrived.
Completing 40 laps between them, Edo and Felipe collected all-important data that would prove to be vital in aiding our understanding later in the day.
Posting a sub-1:10 run, Edo set the pace in the opening session of the day while Felipe closed the 45-minute window with fourth – a pair of positive results to kick off the race weekend.
After qualifying in P12 – bumped up to P11 after a grid penalty for Pascal Wehrlein – Edo was in the thick of the midfield fight during the race.
Clearing Stoffel Vandoorne on the first lap, Edo advanced into the points, soon running in P8 following incidents for Nico Muller and Andre Lotterer.
Entering an intense fight with Vandoorne, Lucas di Grassi and Oliver Rowland behind, Edo got his elbows out and didn’t give up without a fight.
Taking P8 at the close of the 45-minute + 1 lap affair, Edo made history for ROKiT Venturi Racing as our first driver to record over 100 career points in Formula E.
Bagging four, Edo has notched 103 points for Monaco’s only racing team – the 18th driver to achieve this feat in Formula E’s six seasons to date.
As we head to Marrakesh later this month, we can’t wait to extend this tally.
Over the Mexico City weekend, Felipe was the star of the show on Formula E’s Instagram stories.
Taking over the championship’s official account, Felipe offered unparalleled insight with behind the scenes access to our ROKiT Venturi Racing garage – which had a slight layout change compared to prior races.
As the team behind the face of race day, we thoroughly enjoyed this takeover and look forward to doing it again soon!
