Embarking on its fourth round of competition, Formula E’s Race at Home Challenge once more took to the digital streets of Hong Kong to do battle on the Central Habourfront Circuit, gearing up for another high-pressure, high-stakes ‘Race Royale’.
From the second and third groups, Felipe Massa and Edoardo Mortara launched their qualifying offensive. In a wet session, Felipe secured P14 while Edo took pole position, posting a quick 1:11.523s run to beat Pascal Wehrlein to the top spot.
Getting a strong getaway from the front row, Edo maintained the lead into Turn 1 while a multi-car pileup followed behind – an accident in which Felipe was involved, dropping to the back of the field.
Recovering, the Brazilian racer fought forward to P18 by the end of the first tour, going on to run as high as P16 before dropping back down the order, suffering from extensive damage.
Overtaking Maximilian Gunther, Felipe prolonged his relegation, however, was ultimately eliminated, taking P18.
At the front of the field, meanwhile, Edo extended his advantage to hold a 2-second lead until a mistake in Turn 3 demoted the Swiss-Italian to P5 on the road, with damage impacting his pace and performance.
Holding off a hard-charging Antonio Felix da Costa, Edo maintained the position until the wave of the chequered flag, notching 11 points and back-to-back top 10 finishes for ROKiT Venturi Racing.
Elsewhere in esports, Tom Dillmann and Esteban Guerreiri represented ROKiT Venturi Racing in The Race All-Star Series, with the prior recording P10 and P24 and the latter P15 and P31 in the Pro Cup

“What a race! I wasn’t expecting anything special because I had limited practice so to get pole position was a big surprise for me. The race was another story, however, and I had a lot of pressure from behind. I clipped the wall and lost a lot of time as a result. I had a good fight with Antonio [Felix da Costa] until the end of the race and to take P5 with the damage I had was a good result. I’m already looking forward to racing again next weekend.”
Felipe Massa:
“The race didn’t go so well for me because of the big crash in the first corner. The accident left me with a lot of damage and I couldn’t really drive the car properly but I still enjoyed the race. I love racing for such a great cause in UNICEF and can’t wait to continue raising funds in the next race.”
