ROKiT Venturi Racing & HPE: The Drive for Decarbonisation

Read about HPE’s relationship with ROKiT Venturi Racing and pursuit for carbon neutrality...

Since 2014, Formula E has been part of the electric revolution, re-defining the motor racing world and accelerating the growth and development of the EV arena.

Still, the championship continues to make history and by implementing emission reduction measures and offsetting unavoidable emissions, it has created a world-first.

On September 21, Formula E became the first sport in history to attain a certified net-zero carbon footprint since its inception, but the work doesn’t end there.

By signing the UN’s EU 2030 letter, Formula E will continue to combat the global climate crisis, supporting the Race to Zero campaign for a decarbonised economy.

Inside and outside the championship, all strive towards sustainability and a greener, brighter, and better future and ROKiT Venturi Racing is no exception.

As our Technical Partner, Hewlett Packard Enterprise [HPE] not only shares the values of the Monegasque marque but also Formula E itself, devoted to a greener tomorrow.

HPE is committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2050 or sooner and, with a suite of ambitious intermediate carbon reduction targets to be achieved by 2025, is already on the way.

With both parties sharing an undeniably pioneering and visionary mindset, HPE’s partnership with ROKiT Venturi Racing is founded upon collaboration and logic.

“HPE's partnership with ROKiT Venturi Racing is a visual representation of our commitment towards using technology to make the world better,” said Cyndie Wang, Head of Global Sponsorships & Brand Experience, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

“Being a force for good and pushing for better through innovation are our core values as a company. Electric vehicles are undeniably the future of sustainable mobility and we are proud to be a part of the solution that can accelerate that development.

“We are thrilled to showcase HPE’s involvement in the sport at Formula E races and have HPE represented on the Formula E track through our partnership with ROKiT Venturi Racing.

“Formula E’s carbon neutral status is a proof point that the competition, and in turn our partner ROKiT Venturi Racing, is a force for good and a driver towards a more sustainable future.”

For HPE, addressing the climate is not only a moral imperative but also an opportunity to advance new technologies as partners benefit from growing connectivity with the reduced environmental footprint of IT infrastructure.

“At HPE our purpose is to advance the way people live and work,” continued Cyndie. “ROKiT Venturi Racing and Formula E align with that purpose, advancing the field of electric mobility and driving the world towards a more sustainable future.

“ROKiT Venturi Racing needs effective IT capabilities. From factory to trackside, it must enhance data access, team communication, productivity, and agility. So the team partnered with HPE to formulate and implement an IT roadmap to help in all aspects.

“Our partnership with ROKiT Venturi Racing is about putting the most advanced technology to work in a way that allows the organization to understand data, fuel insights and drive innovation – faster and better than ever before.

“We are proud to partner with ROKiT Venturi Racing and play our part in helping the team meet the necessary standards to contribute to Formula E’s carbon neutral status.”

Since 2018, this partnership has reaped rewards, with the Monegasque marque moving from strength to strength, taking one win and two further podiums.

With Formula E gaining World Championship status from Season 7, both ROKiT Venturi Racing and HPE will continue to benefit as the journey continues into this next chapter:

“HPE’s commitment to ROKiT Venturi Racing doesn’t just showcase their belief in our team but also their appreciation for Formula E and foresight to the future of sustainable automotive technical innovation,” said Susie Wolff, ROKiT Venturi Racing Team Principal

“This is matched by its long-term objective to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 – something which we all should applaud.

“HPE has been a part of Monaco’s only racing team since 2018 and as we previously knew, having the best technical and engineering partners is key when finding performance.

“Our ties with HPE have translated into success and the tangible benefits that they bring are unparalleled. We continue to be very proud to have HPE as our Official Technology Partner and can’t wait to enter the next chapter of our exciting journey together.”
