Since the wave of the chequered flag at the end of February’s Marrakesh E-Prix, we’ve been counting down the days until we next hear the phrase ‘and we go green’.
Following the news that Formula E’s present 2019/20 campaign will resume this August, it won’t be long until we’re racing again but under new measures, the new will become normality.
Three double-header events – a total of six races – await us next month in Berlin and with this tallying the Season 6 total to 11 rounds, the competition that we commenced last November will reach its conclusion.
With 288 points up for grabs, a championship is at stake but safety remains as our top priority and our key concern when we do battle in the German capital.
By working in close consultation with teams and local authorities, Formula E and the FIA have placed wellbeing at the core of the finale by devising a robust plan to end the season in a safe manner.
For this six-race showdown behind closed doors, strict safety measures will be implemented and coronavirus testing prior to races will be mandatory, alongside daily on-site screenings upon our arrival to the track.
Under current regulations, the usage of face masks will also be actively enforced – as will social distancing measures – all within carefully defined workspace zones as movement across different event populations is limited.
Here at ROKiT Venturi Racing, we’re proud to embrace these new workplace practices and just as we successfully adapted to working from home, we’ll be operating seamlessly when we arrive at Tempelhof.
With a maximum number of 1,000 people allowed on-site at any one time, only essential staff members and competitors will join us in Berlin, leaving a workforce that will support us remotely from our HQ in Monaco and from home – an environment that we’re all accustomed to.
As we’re all aware, home working presents its own unique set of challenges and from privacy and security to communication and cooperation, it is no easy task.
Despite facing this obstacle, however, Monaco’s only racing team is well prepared and with the help of our partners, we’ll be operating at full capacity when we go racing again.
With ROKiT, HPE, and Acronis by our side, offering unparalleled support at every moment, we’ll have the best technological solutions at our disposal, and with this comes a competitive edge.
As we come to terms with the new normal in the unprecedented scenario of these unprecedented times, we’re ready to race and we’ll have the right tools and tech every step of the way.
