After five months and five races alongside, Formula E’s sixth season has showcased new territory for us here at ROKiT Venturi Racing.
The battles on track have been hard and the action thrilling but defined experience and ever-evolving consistency have aided us during our 2019/20 campaign.
Notching 34 points this season, we have emerged as one of only three teams who have advanced their tally in every race thus far.
Taking, on average, 6.8 points per race, the start of our campaign was impressive – the season-opening Diriyah double-header the canvas to our second-best start to a season to date.
Fast forward five races and this consistent haulage has reaped rewards, with Edo surpassing 100 points in Formula E – the 18th driver to do so – while we ticked over the 350 point margin in Marrakesh.
Without the hard work of our partners, however, the aforementioned landmarks would not have been possible and it is through the support we receive that we maintain our competitive edge.
Backing-up and protecting our data, Acronis plays a central role in keeping us Cyber Fit and by transferring extensive amounts of data every race weekend, we are in the best shape when facing modern cyber security threats.
Working hand-in-hand with Acronis, we’re confident our experience will shine through and with Edo and Felipe recording 42.6% of our total points haul in the series to date, form is certainly in our favour.
Having turned a collective total of 707 laps this season, Edo and Felipe have driven the equivalent of 1,823.567 kilometres over all five race weekends so far.
Combining this running since our Season 1 debut and we have driven over half-way around the world, with 22,397.149 kilometres covering the distance from Shanghai to Paris – our second global challenge – almost two and a half times.
Taking to the track one day on from our most recent race this season in Formula E’s annual rookie test, we completed more running than any other team on the grid.
The 184 laps that Norman and Arthur turned equated to 546.664 kilometres, only increasing our understanding of our Season 6 package.
With Acronis by our side and an experienced team behind us, we’re placed on a springboard and in a prime position to challenge when racing does resume.
