The City

Since first hosting a race in 1929, the Circuit de Monaco has become the most iconic racing venue of them all and marks Formula E’s next stop as the Season 7 FIA World Championship continues.

The fully-electric single-seater series first visited the Principality in 2015 and as a biennial event, has staged three races in Monaco to date.

As the fourth running of the Monaco E-Prix, the 2021 edition of Formula E’s crown jewel is a landmark one and everything is to play for this Saturday.

With an area of only 2.1-kilometres², Monaco is the second-smallest country in the world and it’s the home ROKiT Venturi Racing.

Located just a stone’s throw away from our beautiful Fontvieille HQ, the Circuit de Monaco truly is on our doorstep and as such, we can’t wait to race on home turf this weekend.

The Circuit

After racing on a specially designed shortened configuration from Seasons 1-5, Formula E will compete on the full layout of the world’s most iconic street circuit this weekend.

Featuring 19 corners, the track is one of the most technically demanding on the Season 7 calendar and poses the ultimate test of concentration for drivers.

On the full configuration, Formula E will race through iconic corners including Saint Devote, Casino Square and the Grand Hotel hairpin for the very first time.

With a proven track record in the Principality, ROKiT Venturi Racing is one of only two teams in history to have finished inside the top 10 of every Monaco E-Prix to date – a record we aim to maintain this weekend.

In Their Words

Susie Wolff, ROKiT Venturi Racing Team Principal

“As the only Monegasque race team with our new HQ just moments from the track, the Monaco E-Prix is understandably a very special race for us. It’s an iconic track and the jewel in the Formula E crown. With Felipe’s podium last time we raced here in Season 5 we know how good it feels to taste success on home turf. Despite this, our approach going into this weekend doesn’t change. It’s business as usual. Over the last two race weekends, we’ve demonstrated that we have a car quick enough for the podium and that’s where we have our sights firmly set for this weekend.”

Edoardo Mortara

“It’s always special to race on the streets of Monaco and as our home race, this weekend’s E-Prix is very special to us. Racing on the full configuration of the Circuit de Monaco will be a challenge, one that I’m looking forward to and I think it will make for some great action come Saturday. We know that we have a strong car this season, and if we can perform well in qualifying, I think we’ll be able to fight at the front and hopefully, deliver a good result.”

Norman Nato

“Over the past two race weekends, I think we were able to showcase the level of performance that we’re truly capable of achieving this season and heading into Monaco, this is especially encouraging. This will be my first Monaco E-Prix but I already know the circuit very well and it’s one that I’ve performed well at in the past, including a win in 2014 in Formula Renault 3.5. As the team’s home event, this weekend’s race is a highlight for us and I’ll be aiming to deliver a strong result, and hopefully continue my form from Rome and Valencia.”
