Where is Formula E racing in Season 11?

Formula E reveals 17-race calendar for Season 11, commencing in December 2024

As the penultimate race of Season 10 fast-approaches, the FIA Formula E World Championship has unveiled plans for what will be its biggest calendar in history for Season 11.

Featuring 17 races in 11 global destinations, Season 11 will see Formula E race in Miami, USA, for the first time since 2015, alongside making a return to Jakarta, Indonesia – the site of the Maserati brand’s maiden Formula E win and first victory in World Championship single-seater motorsport since 1957.

Alongside the return of familiar favourites, Season 11 will feature several additional changes, including a new venue for the Diriyah E-Prix in Saudi Arabia while the iconic Monaco E-Prix will become a double-header event, as well as Tokyo.

Pre-season testing, which will mark the first public test for the all-new Gen3 EVO car, will take place on 4-7 November 2024 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, with Season 11 officially commencing on 7 December 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil.

After racing in São Paulo, Formula E heads to Mexico City, Mexico, on 11 January 2025, and Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, on 14-15 February for the first double-header event of the campaign.

On 12 April, Formula E will race at Homestead-Miami Speedway which has forged a renowned reputation for hosting thrilling racing action, with the circuit serving as the NASCAR Cup Series’ season finale for 18 years from 2002-2019.

Maserati MSG Racing’s home race, the Monaco E-Prix – which will mark the first time the Principality has held a double-header of separate races in one weekend – will take place on 3-4 May and will be followed by a double-header weekend in Tokyo, Japan, on 17-18 May after a successful debut race earlier in 2024 which was won by Maserati MSG Racing.

On 31 May-1 June, Formula E will return to Shanghai, China, before heading to Jakarta, Indonesia, on 21 June.

The Berlin E-Prix, which has featured in every season of Formula E to date, will serve as the penultimate race weekend of the campaign on 12-13 July, with London’s ExCeL Circuit holding the finale on 26-27 July.

One location, slated as TBC, will host a race on 8 March 2025 between Diriyah and Miami, and will be revealed later in the year.

In Their Words

Maximilian Günther, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“I’m super excited about the calendar for Season 11. There are some iconic locations, and it’s amazing to have Miami, which is a great addition and will be one of the biggest highlights of the year. Having two races in Monaco, which is my adopted home race, will be very special, and after a good weekend in Tokyo earlier this year, it will be good to race there twice in 2025, alongside going back to Jakarta which was a good race for us in 2023. I’m looking forward to Season 11, and I’m excited for what is to come.”

Jehan Daruvala, Driver, Maserati MSG Racing

“I think the provisional Season 11 Formula E calendar combines some old fan favourites like Mexico, Berlin and of course Monaco with some very exciting new locations. Adding Miami and the new track in Saudi plus a double-header home race for the team in Monaco is going to be something very special. Starting the championship in São Paulo where there’s such a strong motorsport fanbase is a really good move in my opinion, the atmosphere there and Mexico this season was electric. Overall, I think it’s a great indicator of the growth and global reach of the championship.”
